Questions worth asking before you pay.

Including the ones with answers we'd rather not need — what this doesn't do, and where the limits are.

Is any of this financial advice?

No. Nothing here tells you what to buy, sell or hold. Signals are disclosed measurements — you can see the inputs and the thresholds that produced them — and what you do with that is entirely your decision. Quantum Edge AI is not a licensed advisor and does not offer personalised recommendations.

Do you place real trades, or connect to my brokerage?

Neither. Every order in this product is simulated against real market prices. We are not a broker, we do not route orders, and we never ask for or hold brokerage credentials. There is no path from this app to a real account.

What happens when the free trial ends?

The Free tier is a real 5-day trial rather than a permanent plan. When it elapses you keep your account and your data, but the member pages ask you to choose a plan. If you later cancel a paid plan you drop back to a fresh 5-day window rather than being locked out on the spot.

What is actually different between Free, Basic and Pro?

Every feature on the features page carries a tier badge, so you can see before signing up exactly where each one sits. Broadly: portfolio tracking, charting, paper trading and the AI assistant are on Free; crypto tracking, SEC filings and predictions are Basic; the intelligence feeds — market regime, earnings tone, insider activity, short-squeeze data — are Pro. Q Suite is a separate add-on.

Where does the data come from?

Market prices and options data from Alpaca, with a private relay so the API key never reaches your browser. Crypto direct from Coinbase. Filings from SEC EDGAR. Historical prices from Yahoo Finance. Macro series from FRED. Each figure is shown with its source and its age rather than presented as timeless truth.

How current is what I am looking at?

Prices stream live over a WebSocket while markets are open, falling back to a fast poll if a feed drops. Slower data — filings, fundamentals, sentiment — is synced on a schedule and labelled with when it was last refreshed. Where a feed has stopped, the page says so instead of quietly showing old numbers.

How is my account secured?

Two-factor authentication is available on every account: emailed codes, an authenticator app, or a security key or fingerprint through WebAuthn, plus ten single-use recovery codes. You can sign in with Google instead of another password. Connected social accounts have their tokens encrypted at rest.

Do you publish results, including the bad ones?

Yes. Published predictions are graded after the fact and scored with Brier, which penalises a confident wrong call harder than a hedge. Misses appear as prominently as hits. Scores start from the day we began recording — we do not backfill a track record we did not earn.

Can I cancel?

Any time, from the billing page. You keep access through the period you have already paid for, and your data stays on your account.

What is Q Suite?

A social media management tool built into the same app — connect X, Reddit, LinkedIn, Facebook Pages, Instagram and Threads, compose and schedule posts, read replies in one inbox and track reach. It is a separate add-on, not part of the Free/Basic/Pro ladder, because most trading members have no use for it.
